Stewart County SWCD Tree Giveaway
In 2023 Stewart County SWCD brought back their tree giveaway event that they had done in the past. It is a great event that allows us to reach out to the community and encourage conservation by giving out trees for residents to plant in the county. Trees not only beautify the community but they are precious resources that provide homes for wildlife, filter our air and water, as well as help prevent soil erosion. We decide the types of trees to be handed out based on recommendations of native trees from NRCS and what the TN Nursery has to offer.

We will be handing the seedling packs out to Stewart County residents from 9am-4pm or until supplies run out.

On March 17th 2023 Stewart County SWCD handed out 750 trees of 7 different varieties and was able to serve over 130 residents!
